A friend and I were discussing the other day men and gift giving. Most men think that all women want expensive jewelry and purses as gifts. I told her how my sister's husband gave her a $350 Coach purse for Christmas (and later bought her the $250 wallet to go with it). She wasn't extraordinarily happy because that is a little over the top for her. She told me she only carries it to church on Sundays. I said I would never want an expensive purse like that - I mean, I would have formula spilled it in and crackers smashed on the bottom. We think it is awesome when a man gets you something that shows he really knows you - no matter how big or small.
Since my husband is going to be gone on Mother's day, he decided to go ahead and give me a gift (b/c he is ultra thoughtful). He gave me ... drum roll.... a Bissell steam mop. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it's exactly what I wanted! We have all hard tile floors since we live on post now, and we have a baby who crawls on them all the time. Regular mops just don't get the food the smashes into the ground, and we have to mop like every night. Also, I don't like all the harsh chemicals on the floor, so it's PERFECT! Thanks, babe! XOX
