On Thursday, SSG Polk, was killed in action and SPC Drake was seriously wounded. SPC Clemeno got shrapnel to his hand and one of our interpreters lost an eye. It has been a rough couple of days to say the least. This war is really taking a toll on us as a unit and as a family. I got to know SSG Polk really well over the last couple of weeks and he was a great man, great soldier, and great leader and we will surely miss him. He died doing what he loved to do though. Please keep your thoughts and prayers for all of their families.
We will always remember you Polk. Rest in Peace...
